Managed open-source medical imaging

Commercial PACS pricing is a racket

Orthanc has been open source since 2012. dcm4chee since 2004. The software is free, proven, and running in hospitals worldwide. Vendors charge $500–5,000/month because they can, not because the technology requires it.

Our mission

We host open-source DICOM and EHR software on dedicated infrastructure so you don't have to. No per-study fees, no multi-year contracts, no calling a support hotline to change a DICOM routing rule. You get root-level access to your own instance at a fraction of what commercial PACS vendors charge.

Built for reliability

Runs on dedicated bare-metal servers. EU data residency available now, with audit logs, DPA, and backups in-region. Additional regions coming.

Dedicated Infrastructure

Encryption

What we believe

Transparency

Orthanc is GPL-3.0. dcm4chee is LGPL. OHIF is MIT. You can read every line of code running on your instance, export your DICOM data via standard C-MOVE or DICOMweb, and migrate away whenever you want. Try that with a proprietary PACS.

Data sovereignty

Patient imaging data is special-category personal data under GDPR Art. 9. Your data stays on dedicated infrastructure with full tenant isolation — not stored in someone else's multi-tenant cloud. EU data residency available. DPA provided on request.

Simplicity

You tell us what you need — a PACS for your imaging center, a viewer for your referring physicians, an EHR for your practice. We provision it, configure DICOM routing, set up backups, and hand you the credentials. Changes and updates are included, not billable support tickets.

Fair pricing

Orthanc from $60/month. No per-study fees that blow up during a retrospective study. No surprise overages when you onboard a new modality. Flat monthly pricing, typically 80–90% less than the commercial PACS you're replacing.
